Meta tags are identifying “hidden” html tags within the code of your web pages.
These tags identify your page title, your key words, site description, author and sometimes instruct search engines to return at a specific time to re-index your site.
It is sometimes controversial that meta tags are REQUIRED, but many of the older search engines will be using the older technologies for some time to come.
We highly recommend that all sites continue to have meta tags.
